In 2007, singer and trumpeter Rok Nemanič Nemo first visited the heart of trumpet music and energy – the Gučo festival, where he felt the unifying power of Balkan music.
Two years later, he gathered a group of young academic musicians who would start a story with him, in which they would show the true Balkan soul, the energy that unites people of all generations, through Balkan rhythms and melos. In the same year, the group Balkan Boys was formed. In 2012, the original songs were presented on the album From Zabledam, which combines elements of Balkan ethno/folk music and rock. They collaborated with recognizable names in the Slovenian and foreign music scene. They created a unique musical style, Balkan pop fusion. In 2015, they released the album Radio Me Gusta. In their songs, the band preserves the idea of Balkan music, intertwined with the rhythms of ska and rumba, in a fresh, innovative and unique way. With the desire to expand musical creation, a new album, Welcome to the Gipsyland (2019), was created.

This time, the band mainly dedicated it to the research of ethno/gypsy music. Gipsyland is a place where we enjoy good music, indulge in energy, a place where everyone is everyone's friend.
