At the fourth edition of Castle Music there will be three concerts by bands with three unique vocalists.
Brest with Vesna Zornik is a completely fresh band of excellent, established musicians performing a mix of musical genres such as pop, jazz, blues, rock, indie, alter ethno and more. Pliš with Aleksandra Ilijevski is a group that has moved from the living room to the stage, or, to be more precise, has invited the audience and listeners to their home. In her seven years of creativity, the hallmark of singer and creative artist Bilbi has been a sophisticated slalom between various musical genres. The songs from her three studio albums are characterised by unmistakable melodies and lyrics originating from the Stermecki creative tandem.
Bilbi has promised a new concert treat entitled “A Coffee Shop Evening with Bilbi”. This time, the singer has been inspired by Vienna, the charming European capital caught between tradition and urbanity, and the city where she spent her student days. Bilbi: “We all know that Vienna is a beautiful city, but few of us know how interesting it is to live in Vienna. You soon find out that a day without a Viennese coffee shop quickly becomes empty. Taking the time to drink a cup of coffee or tea is a way of life in Vienna. It is a moment when you open up and give in to your inspiration.” The Vienna coffee house is a place where people have long met to talk about their dreams and share ideas with each other, to compose masterpieces or simply sit in peace and watch colourful life unfold before their eyes. At the Ljubljana Castle, Bilbi will pamper the audience with her classic repertoire in completely new arrangements, as well as presenting songs from her current, third studio album, Šibke točke. From the sensual, intimate interweaving of violin and double bass, to passionate, wild rhythms spiced up with a thoughtful measure of urbanity and poetics. As is appropriate for a true coffee shop evening, Bibli has invited a special guest to join her: the melancholic musical poet Brodolomec.
