The band Masharik, which appeared for the first time in 2019, has in recent years gradually matured on stage and in the studio, carefully honing its musical expression. In collaboration with renowned producer Žaret Pak, the members of Masharik took their time to prepare their long-awaited debut album, which was premiered in May of this year at Kino Šiška. Their music intertwines blues, rock and psychedelia, while Maša’s vocals add a hint of soul. The result is a fresh sound that is nonetheless reminiscent of the organic, uncompromising music of a bygone era. Their song lyrics, which are written in Slovenian and given even greater communicative power by Maša’s unique vocal interpretation, remind us of the values of community, sincerity and love, which are all the more necessary in this day and age.
