Newly opened in May 2015, the Museum of Puppetry is a joint project of the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre and Ljubljana Castle. The museum department was established as a part of the Theatre with the permanent exhibition, located at the Ljubljana Castle. It houses a vast collection of material artefacts, runs different activities for families and school groups and actively engages in developing the field of puppetry research, conservation and restoration know-how. The most interesting partfor visitors is definitely a permanent exhibition, that approaches Slovenian puppetry, the most successful puppet plays, its creators and peculiarities to visitors of different ages.
