Since its formation in 1997, the Fake Orchestra has been one of the pioneers of arranging Slovenian folk songs in more modern musical forms, such as jazz, soul, funk, rock, afrobeat and many others. Led by guitarist Igor Leonardi, the band has so far recorded five diverse albums. On the second to last album, entitled Kud, we find exclusively Slovenian folk songs in joyous sound images, painted mainly in dance rhythms and jazz improvisations. In addition to folk songs from Slovenia and all over the world, the band’s extensive repertoire is also adorned with pearls of evergreen pop songs.
On this occasion, they will perform with Cuban virtuoso Lazaro Hierezuello, who will further enhance the sound image of the evening with his rich musical tradition.
