Jon Onabowu Trio

Strap in for an eclectic night of lively music with The Jon Onabowu Trio. After a series of sold out shows in London, this young drummer is returning to Slovenia, where he’s already performed with the amazing Rick Leon James and the famous Kamaal Williams. Jon is one of UK’s finest up and coming underground jazz musicians and last autumn he sold out the legendary jazz club Ronnie Scotts under his own name. Jon and his colleague on bass Moko are both UK born descendants of African origin with rhythm in their blood.

On this Slovenian mini tour, they will be joined by the keyboard player Marko Črncec, who needs no introduction to our audiences. Expect original tunes as well as fusion classics from the likes of Weather Report through to modern-day masterpieces by Robert Glasper that'll keep your feet tappin' all night long!

The Ljubljana Castle Jazz Club is open from 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm. Live music commences at 8.00 pm. On the day of the concert, tickets can be purchased at the Entrance Pavilion and the lower funicular station until 8.45 pm. The concert ticket includes a return journey on the funicular, which operates until 11.00 pm on the day of the concert.
