PikniKoncert: Regen
PikniKoncert is a family gathering with good music, food and drink. PikniKoncert is a different way to spend free time, as it offers a quality cultural experience combined with relaxed socialising and ecological awareness.
After several successful festival summers in Tivoli Park, Piknikoncerts have been taking place on the castle plateau for the last few summers, in the Defensive Moat beneath the walls of the Ljubljana Castle. Escape the summer heat and make your way to the Ljubljana Castle in the late afternoon. Spread out a picnic blanket, enjoy a snack and relax while listening to ethnic and folk concerts. Bring blankets and full picnic baskets. Invite your friends and don’t forget the children, toys and dogs, as well as lots of positive energy, so that we can all enjoy ourselves together!
In the case of bad weather, the event will be postponed or cancelled.
We recommend using the funicular to attend the event.
Regen
Since the release of their first single Wine, the young five-piece Ljubljana band Regen has been impressing audiences with their unique interpretation of alter pop, which, according to critics, is full of melancholic echoes and floating harmonies, intertwined with lively rhythms and instrumentals from the 1980s. Regen create music without borders, perfect for dancing as well as for accompanying dreamy evenings or midnight drives on an empty highway. On stage, they are distinguished by their informal elegance and confidence, convincing audiences with their striking youth and directness. In 2022, they released their debut album Youth. In addition to the track Wine, it also includes the hits California and Tequila. Last year, they again conquered the radio charts with their first song in Slovenian, Rada bi znala bi plesati (I Wish I Could Dance), which became the most played song on the radio station Val 202. This year, they will release a new single in Slovenian as an introduction to their second studio album.
