Tretji kanu (Third Canoe) is an indie-pop band from Novo Mesto whose vessel carries stories of freedom, love and friendship. In their songs, melancholic touches spiced with optimism embrace gentle melodies and the unison interweaving of two who have combined their creativity in Tretji, the Third. After two studio albums, V vesolje (Into Space) and Plovemo (We Are Sailing), their third album is due for release in the autumn of 2024. Their songs can often be heard on the national radio Val 202, and they have also appeared in the show Izštekani with Jure Longyka as well as in Izštekani 10, which took place in Kino Šiška. At their concerts, they paddle through both of their studio albums as well as playing brand new songs from their upcoming album. In addition to her creative work with Tretji kanu, singer Anja Pavlin has also released an album for children entitled Prigode polžka Petra (The Adventures of Peter the Snail), published by Didakta. You will have an opportunity to hear some of the songs from this album, which were originally sung by artists such as Rudi Bučar and Tomislav Jovanović-Tokac, as part of the present concert by Tretji kanu.
