Singer Blaž Vrbič studied at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet in the class of Nada Žgur, and later with Pieri Ancone in Venice, Slovenian soprano Irena Preda and maestro David Jones in New York. As a soloist, he has performed on numerous occasions with the RTV Slovenia Big Band, and he collaborates regularly in gospel jazz projects with the group Alfa and Omega and with the Grosuplje Big Band, with which he brings the songs of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett back to life.
The present concert offers a stroll through the greatest hits and selected rarities that marked the career of two icons of American vocal music, subtly combining Frank’s drama and Tony’s playfulness. The repertoire comprises more than forty titles with fresh arrangements for jazz quartet, placing the beautiful stories of classic hits in a new, modern framework.

The Ljubljana Castle Jazz Club is open from 8.00 pm to 12:30 am. Live music commences at 9.00 pm.
On the evening of the concert, the Entry Pavilion will operate until 23.30 pm and the funicular until 1.00 am.
