Development of Slovenian Sculptural Thought

Ljubljana Castle is preparing a retrospective exhibition of plastic artworks created by all the sculpture lecturers who have worked at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design from the years since its foundation (1945/46) until the present. The exhibition will be presented in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts and Design and with the Fine Artists Society of Ljubljana. The selection of works is comprised of available art-works from the Modern Gallery while some exhibits have been borrowed from the art collections of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, the Municipality of Idrija and from private collections of still-living artists. This exhibition also marks the 35th anniversary of the Fine Artists Society of Ljubljana where many of the exhibiting artists assumed leading positions through the years.
