The Serbian band Gitarinet Groove System won the TV show Best Serbian Orchestra on RTS 1 and gained the title of the best club band in the country. The band was brought together by a pure love for music and a desire to shift the boundaries of its standard performance. Guitarist and lead singer Mirko plays guitar with help of a “looper”, while singing with the “beat box” technique. Clarinettist Nikola, who graduated from the University of Cleveland, recently received an award for the most talented young artist (laureate of Serbia). Percussionist Relja is also a music producer who has played with, among others, Rambo Amadeus, Balkanika and numerous jazz musicians. Bassist Zmolen is a member of many popular Serbian groups: Negativ, Sevdah Baby, Strip, X-Centar, 357, etc. With their energetic mix of styles, such as reggae, swing and funk, Gitarinet Groove System will not leave you cold.

The Ljubljana Castle Jazz Club is open from 8.00 pm to 12.30 am, the musicians take the stage at 9.00 pm.
