Igor Lumpert (b. 1975, Novo Mesto, Slovenia) is a jazz saxophonist, composer, and bandleader based in Brooklyn, New York. In contemporary jazz, there is often a divide between the more traditional performers and those linked to the avant-garde, and Lumpert’s strength lies in his ability to fuse these two often conflicting traditions. His playing has echoes of Ben Webster, Wayne Shorter, and the Art Ensemble of Chicago, all reconceived through his own distinct musical sensibility. In 2024, Lumpert plans to release a new album/project “Code talkers”, recorded with bassist Drew Gress, drummer Damion Reid, and pianist Leo Genovese at Brooklyn's Samurai Hotel Studio, as well as undertake a European tour.

Leonardo Genovese was born in Venado Tuerto, Argentina in 1979. After some years of studying classical piano at the National University of Rosario as well as private lessons in contemporary music, he moved to Boston in 2001. He also performs regularly with the Esperanza Spalding Group, the Mike Tucker Quartet, Planet Safety (w/Bob Gullottiand Dave Zinno), Wayne Shorter Group and Jack Dejohnette.

Drummer Jeff Williams born in Mount Vernon, Ohio, Jeff began his professional jazz drumming career in New York in 1971. By '72 he was playing with Stan Getz, followed by Dave Liebman and Lookout Farm through 1976. His other associations include Joe Lovano, Lee Konitz, Paul Bley etc.
Jeff has recorded six albums for the Whirlwind Recordings label showcasing his original compositions.

Bassist Masa Kamaguchi was born in Japan in 1966 and moved to Boston to study in Berklee during 1990. He performed with George Garzone, Sonny Simmons, David Murray, Toots Thielemans, Tony Malaby and Charles Gayle etc. In 2006, he settled in Barcelona.
