Latin Dance Evening with the Musical Group Cubismo

At the Ljubljana Castle, as an introduction to summer, we have prepared two concerts and two dance evenings under a starry sky, in the embrace of the Castle Courtyard. We will begin with a concert by one of this year’s winners of the Prešeren Fund Prize, Boštjan Gombač, who, with his fresh band Gombač & Kradljivci časa, will give the premiere presentation of his first solo album. The summer atmosphere will continue the next day with a major concert by the popular band Katalena, of which Boštjan Gombač is also a member.

The concerts will be followed by two dance evenings. At the first, accompanied by the band Cubismo, you will dance to the Latin rhythms of the salsa, the rumba, the cha-cha-cha, etc.  The musical guest of the second dance evening will be Davor Radolfi.

The castle summer nights will take place between 21 and 24 June 2017.

Latin Dance Evening with the Musical Group Cubismo

At the beginning of summer, the dance floor will shift from the Estates Hall and the Palatium to the Castle Courtyard, with musical accompaniment by the group Cubismo.

Cubismo is a Croatian group with a strong international flavour, as its members come from Croatia, Slovenia, Cuba and Ecuador.

They play energetic dance music that is based on Afro-Cuban rhythms but has its own distinctive and recognisable style. In addition to the sounds of salsa and Latin-jazz, Cubismo’s music is imbued with the influences of hip-hop, funk, jazz and rock.

Cubismo regularly raise their listeners to their feet and enchant them with a healthy dose of positive energy, which literally radiates from the stage.

Ticket price: €12.00, €10.00*

The ticket price includes a return ticket for the funicular.

* students, pensioners, groups of over 15 persons

Ticket sales: Ljubljana Castle sales points, lower funicular station, www.ljubljanskigrad.si and all www.mojekarte.si sales points (including Petrol service stations, Kompas branches throughout Slovenia, etc.).

On this day, the funicular will operate until 1.00 am.

We recommend using the funicular to attend the dance evening.
