Within the framework of cultural events related to the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the First World War (1914–1918), the National Museum of Contemporary History will prepare the exhibition Ljubljana 100 Years Ago at the Ljubljana Castle. The exhibition will show the socio-political and cultural life of the city of Ljubljana during the First World War in 1917, and marks the 100th anniversary of the May Declaration. Amongst the exhibits will be content related to life in Ljubljana as a city on the outskirts of the front, gripped by the events of war. Through a display of photographs and reportage on events in bulletins of the time, we will try to show the pulse of life in Ljubljana during the First World War.
