Vox Arsana is regarded as a unique vocal jazz quartet in Slovenia and South-Eastern Europe, capturing the explosiveness of modern swing, spiced with the rich harmonies and virtuosic rhythms of jazz.
Vox Arsana has performed at important festivals in Slovenia, France, Italy, Croatia, Serbia and the United States (Ohio, New York). The members of the group regularly collaborate with renowned Slovenian and foreign musicians and are permanent guests of various big bands (RTV Slovenia Big Band, HRT Jazz Orchestra, Big Band DOM and Toti Big Band Maribor). Since 2013, they have worked under the guidance of the legendary vocal ensemble New York Voices (twice Grammy Award winners) and they often appear in Slovenian and foreign radio and television shows.
In November 2015, Vox Arsana released its first studio album “Turn It Up”, which was created in cooperation with the superb RTV Slovenia Big Band. A special treat on the album is a guest appearance by the legendary New York Voices. The album was nominated for the Zlata Piščal (Golden Whistle) Award in 2015.
The concert programme will be dedicated to the international hits of swing, film music, evergreen Slovenian pop songs, and original music.
The members of the Vox Arsana Quartet are: Nina Strnad, Ana Delin, Samo Ivačič and Mladen Delin.
Accompanying jazz trio: Renato Chicco – piano, Luka Gaiser – double bass and Bruno Domiter – drums.
Ticket price: €17.00, €13.00*
The ticket price includes a return ticket for the funicular.
