Marko Hatlak SOLO

The musical autumn at the Ljubljana Castle brings a concert cycle by Marko Hatlak, who, along with his guests, will take us through a diverse range of musical creativity over four evenings. From Kapobanda to a solo concert, and from the Marko Hatlak Band to FUNtango with special guest Iztok Mlakar. With a humorous note, Marko Hatlak tells stories about the songs that are heard, some of which he also spices up with singing. He draws everyone present into musical collaboration, so that for some tunes the whole venue beats in live rhythms. With an original interpretation of each and every song, regardless of style, Marko Hatlak evokes an emotionally deep and lively experience in the audience.

Accordionist Marko Hatlak, who was described by the German newspaper Berliner Morgenpost as a darling of the audience, has appeared on foreign and domestic concert stages since 2000. After completing music secondary school in Ljubljana, he undertook almost a decade of studies in Germany with teachers Ivan Koval and Stefan Hussong. He brings together experience gained in various projects and genres in a solo concert, with a repertoire consisting of classical and Baroque compositions, works by contemporary composers, and ethnic melodies from the entire European region. The diverse mix of compositions gives the concert a special charm, offering listeners a deep insight into the breadth of the music world. In the past, Marko Hatlak has collaborated with Stefan Milenkovic, En Shao, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Tommy Emanuel, the choir Carmina Slovenica, Matej Bekavec, Karmen Pečar, Vlatko Stefanovski, Stefan Hussong and others. He has also recorded a number of CDs with repertoire by classical and contemporary composers, as well as tango and ethnic music.
