PikniKoncert is a family gathering with good music, food and drinks. PikniKoncert is a different way to spend your free time, offering a quality cultural experience combined with relaxed socialising and ecological awareness.
After several successful festival summers in Tivoli Park, Piknikoncerts have been taking place on the castle plateau for the last few summers, in the Defensive Moat beneath the walls of the Ljubljana Castle. Escape the summer heat and make your way to the Ljubljana Castle in the late afternoon. Spread out a picnic blanket, enjoy a snack and relax while listening to ethnic and folk concerts. Bring blankets and full picnic baskets. Invite your friends and don’t forget the children, toys and dogs, as well as lots of positive energy, so that we can all enjoy ourselves together!
PikniKoncert: Ana in oni
Ana Vipotnik, long-time vocalist of Fake Orchestra, steps into the spotlight with a fresh musical story. A contemplative, melancholic vibe flows into joy and a celebration of life. Band creates music with a strong sensitivity to the Slovenian language. Poetry by Milan Dekleva, Barbara Pogačnik, Radharani Pernarčič, Aleš Mustar, and others is given voice, rhythm, and breath. But they do not stop at words alone. They also get audiences moving with interpretations of timeless songs by Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and similar icons — in Slovenian translations or entirely new lyrics written by Andrej Rozman Roza. Their musical landscape freely stretches across gospel, country, tango, Cuban mambo, and even old Czech popular songs.
