Are you ready for an original castle adventure? In the picturesque surroundings of the Ljubljana Castle and in the company of friends, family or colleagues, you can set out on one of two exciting adventures with elements of the game escape room: free the famous dragon or take on the entirely new challenge of redeeming the witch!
What to expect?
Two different, exciting adventure experiences with elements of the game escape room convey you to a world of urban legends and real historical events. As you explore, you’ll encounter lots of fun, teambuilding and challenging tasks. Choose from the popular game Free the Dragon or – the newest addition – Redeem the Witch.
Free the Dragon (Escape Castle I)
In the gamified experience Free the Dragon for two to four players, you will discover the hidden corners behind the castle walls in a playful and exploratory way. Maybe you will even manage to revive the dragon – the very dragon, the guardian of the city, who was consigned to the underworld after a clash with Knight George. The townsfolk miss the dragon and until recently have wondered where he disappeared to…
Recently, famous explorers on a special expedition deep under the Castle Hill detected faint signs of life – and discovered that the dragon is hibernating at the bottom of an abyss! Could anyone revive him?
Only the noblest, bravest, most resourceful, honest and devoted knight could be up to the task. Are you the one who will prove yourself in five dragon trials, demonstrating your bravely and showing that noble blood flows through your veins?

Redeem the Witch (Escape Castle II)
Solve the mystery of the strange phenomena on the Castle Hill in a playful experience for two to four players!
The Ljubljana Castle, the mighty guardian of the city, conceals numerous stories from the past. One of them is the shocking story of Anica Gorjup, who was convicted of witchcraft in 1691 and was the last person in Ljubljana to be burned at the stake.
After her death, strange phenomena began to appear on the Castle Hill: whispers in the well, shifting shadows in the tunnels, strange reflections in the windows and mysterious signs that can only be seen in a special light. Recently, these phenomena have been increasing, so we need the help of brave explorers to calm Anica’s restless spirit!
Special equipment, a series of riddles, clues and impenetrable secrets await you. These will lead you step by step through the Castle Hill to uncover the truth. Put a team together and help fulfil Anica’s last wish!

The interactive game begins and ends at the Ljubljana Castle Info Centre. After being briefed on the general terms and conditions, the team receives a game plan or a bag of useful objects and a medallion. Each team consists of two to four players (friends, family, colleagues).
In the game Free the Dragon, the team must solve five riddle-based knightly trials in various spaces within the castle walls within one hour and make their way to the research camp. There, the final and most important trial awaits them: reviving the dragon!
In the game Redeem the Witch, the players use special equipment to investigate the traces of strange phenomena on the Castle Hill. With a little luck, knowledge and skill, they fulfil the final wish of Anica, the last Ljubljana witch to be burned at the stake, and redeem her restless spirit. They have up to 90 minutes to complete the adventure.
Don’t worry, if you get stuck somewhere, the Info Centre will help you with hints, and the game time can be extended if necessary.
We will make sure that you have an unforgettable experience, regardless of whether you are a fan of escape games or just want to enjoy playfully discovering the secrets of the castle’s legends and dark history. Awaken the dragon or calm Anica’s restless spirit!
Children under 7 years of age accompanied by parents are free of charge (does not apply to organised groups).
Special offer: If you enjoyed the Escape Castle game you played and would like to play the other one, we will give you a 20% discount on the second game within six months upon presentation of the original invoice.
