Since its first edition in 2008, the Godibodi festival of contemporary original and ethnic music has been a synonym for quality music and a complete concert experience that constantly opens up space for fresh and not yet established Slovenian music. Over the past years, this unique musical project has been guided by the versatile musician and artistic director of the festival Janez Dovč and produced by the Ljubljana Castle. During this time, it has brought together many top Slovenian musicians.
This year’s sixteenth edition of the festival will take place in the first days of June with concerts by the following bands: Vsa and Kristijan Krajnčan, Barfolk, Ědna, Vudlenderji, Jani Hace and guests, Leopold I. and Drügi

The second day of the festival will feature two bands: Êdna, Vudlenderji

Êdna is a group of experienced musicians from the Prekmurje and Styria regions of Slovenia. They are dedicated to infusing traditional folk songs from Prekmurje and Porabje with a modern, fresh sound. Five years ago, they released their debut album entitled Ajnc, cvaj, draj, which contains nine diverse songs with a range of themes: the homeland, existence and love. The band members have worked together for nine years. This year, they are recording a new album focusing mainly on the theme of love.
Êdna has appeared in the Slovenian pavilion at the EXPO World Exhibition in Milan, at various festivals in Slovenia and at the Grazer Sprachenfest in Austria, as well as performing on many occasions in Porabje.
Êdna is also a winner of the competition Ljudska je kul (Folk Is Cool), organised by the Public Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for Cultural Activities (2016). The group participated in the documentary Med Muro in Rabo (Between the Mura and Raba Rivers, 2022) and was a guest of the First Programme of Radio Slovenia, where it performed live on the programme Prva vrsta (Front Row).

Musicians:
Tjaša Cigut – vocals, piano
Luka Sraka – guitar,
Luka Ščavničar – double bass,
Jasmina Dajčman – saxophone,
Blaž Korez – percussion

Vudlenderji will lead you through a unique musical landscape with a selection of their own original compositions. On the one hand, these songs awaken nostalgia for the golden times of evergreen melodies and swing, while, on the other hand, they evoke a sense of freshness and mischievousness, derived from a wide range of original ideas that will certainly not leave listeners unmoved.
The band Vudlenderji consists of professional musicians with experience in classical music as well as in jazz and popular music. It was founded with the aim of creating and performing quality compositions in the Slovenian language. In 2017, Vudlenderji appeared at the festival Melodies of the Sea and the Sun, and the following year they earned an opportunity to record a video by winning the Spotvizija competition organised by Sazas. In 2019, they entered the Slovenian Song Festival, where they won second place and the award for the best lyrics. They appeared at the Slovenian Song Festival again in 2021, this time receiving the award for the best lyrics of the festival.
In the autumn of 2021, Vudlenderji released their first album, entitled Si ti tisti.
The members of the band are the founder and the author of all of the lyrics and music, pianist Tomaž Hostnik, singer Maša But, guitarist and arranger Matic Plemenitaš, saxophonist Žiga Vešligaj, bassist Jaka Krušič, and percussionist Gregor Hrovat.
