Families with children

Children under seven years of age accompanied by their parents (not applicable to organised groups – kindergartens, schools, etc.) have free admission to the Ljubljana Castle. Families who visit us with babies in strollers will enjoy many activities on the Castle Hill. However, the Ljubljana Castle is a medieval fortress and therefore has varied terrain, so not all of the spaces can be accessed by strollers. Strollers can be stored in a dedicated space by the entrance to the Museum of Puppetry. There you will also find lockers where you can safely lock small items that you do not want to carry around with you while visiting the castle.

The easiest way to get to the Ljubljana Castle with a pushchair is by the funicular railway. If you decide to walk, we recommend that you take the road Cesta slovenskih kmečkih uporov.

Our toilet facilities are equipped with changing tables for your infant.
