The Upper Lapidarium through Time
With the renovation that was concluded in 2011, the remains of the defensive moat from the Spanheim Castle of the 13th century were again made visible. Of particular interest are two wells: the castle cistern and the so-called escape well, which according to legend was used as an escape route by Erasmus Lueger.
